To play the bowls you need to merely put them on a solid surface, on top of the supplied rubber o-ring, strike the bowl gently a few times to 'get the vibration started' and then move the supplied mallet around the top edge of the bowl while holding firm against the outside edge. After a few circles the bowl will begin to 'sing'. Their singing reverberates after you have stopped playing them as if they are alive and singing all by themselves.
